OPENING WEEKEND

On 30 and 31 May 2026, FC Lugano will open the doors of the new AIL Arena for two free days designed to allow local residents, supporters and all interested visitors to discover the new Bianconeri home up close.

The Opening Weekend will be a moment of celebration and togetherness, giving everyone the opportunity to experience the spaces of the AIL Arena for the first time, a venue set to mark a new chapter in the history of the Club and the city.

At the heart of the event will be a free AIL Arena tour, through which visitors will be able to access the most significant areas of the stadium and gain a closer look at the spaces that will shape the daily life of FC Lugano and the supporters’ experience on future matchdays.
The tour is designed to offer an engaging visit and allow guests to step into the new Bianconeri home for the first time, discovering its spaces, functions and details.
Participation will be free of charge, but registration will be required.
In addition, for those who register for the tour, Arcobaleno public transport will be free on both days.
Further information on the areas included in the tour, the schedule and the access arrangements will be announced soon.

Alongside the tour, the Opening Weekend will also feature a Fan Village conceived as a space for meeting and entertainment, with food and beverage options, music and several surprises planned across the two days. It will be a central area of the event, where supporters, families, enthusiasts and curious visitors will be able to enjoy the atmosphere of the weekend even outside the stadium tour, in an open setting designed to involve people of all ages.
The Fan Village will also host Gruppo Corriere del Ticino, Presenting Partner of the two days, with a Radio 3i mobile studio and a special on-site edition of Teleticino’s sports programme «Fuorigioco».
