Interesting insights and key facts from the worlds of business and football, brought together on a single stage: the Handelszeitung Business & Football Summit presented by Lugano Region returns in 2026 for its second edition, following last year’s debut with the BILANZ Business & Football Summit.
The event features two high-level presentations from the business sector and a football conversation, followed by a rich apéro. It is aimed at entrepreneurs and executives interested in connecting economic topics with the specific dynamics of the football world, while also offering an ideal hospitality platform to cultivate relationships with clients, business partners and employees.

For the second edition, entitled 'Mental Strength and Resilience in Business and Football', we have once again managed to sign a top-class line-up. After all, who could better explain how to successfully handle performance pressure and setbacks - both as an active footballer and off the pitch - than former World Goalkeeper of the Year and today`s entrepreneur Oliver Kahn?
Before Oliver Kahn takes the stage, digital expert and bestselling author Philipp Riederle, who had already advised DAX board members on 'Generation Y' as a teenager and is currently pursuing his PhD at the Oxford Internet Institute, will outline strategies for how companies can successfully prepare themselves for the future with the help of the skills and resources of 'Generation Alpha'. In management trainer Thomas Baschab, who counts numerous professional footballers and world-class winter athletes among his clients, one of the most renowned mental coaches in the German-speaking world, will use simple exercises to show the audience the mental potential that lies within each individual.
