After the retreat in Spain, the team benefited of two days of rest in order to get rid of the workload accumulated during the week.
This afternoon, the Bianconeri met at the Cornaredo sports centre to resume training ahead of the Brack Super League resumption, kicking off a 'typical week' for Mattia Croci-Torti and his staff. Before the start of the session, the group also celebrated some significant moments: Mattia Zanotti's birthday, celebrated yesterday, the recognition of Hicham Mahou, whose goal against FC Lucerne was elected "Goal of the Year" in the dedicated poll, and the return to the group of Mohamed Belhadj, back from the commitment in the African Cup of Nations with Tunisia, which went out in the round of 16. Today's session officially opens the work ahead of the resumption of official matches.
On the horizon there is the away game of Saturday the 17th of January against the FC Lucerne, an appointment that will bring FC Lugano back on the field 27 days after the last official game played, the 3-0 victory at Cornaredo against the BSC Young Boys on the 21st of December 2025.
The countdown towards the return in the championship has therefore officially begun.
