The Swiss Football League has published the fixture list for the 2026/27 Brack Super League. For the bianconeri, the season will kick off on Sunday 26 July 2026 at 4.30 pm, with a home match against newly promoted FC Vaduz.
It will be FC Lugano’s first league match at the new AIL Arena.
To find out whether it will also coincide with the bianconeri’s first ever official match at their new home, we will have to wait for the draw for the second qualifying round (Q2) of the UEFA Conference League, scheduled for 17 June. Should the European home leg take place on Thursday 23 July, that match would officially mark the start of Lugano’s history at the stadium; otherwise, the fixture against Vaduz on 26 July would be the first official home match of the season.
DOUBLE CLASH WITH VADUZ
The Liechtenstein side will therefore be Lugano’s first opponent in the new league season, but also their final pre-season rival. The FC Lugano on Tour programme will in fact conclude on Friday 17 July in Balerna against FC Vaduz, in a friendly match taking place nine days before the Brack Super League opener.
This back-to-back fixture will offer Mattia Croci-Torti and his staff a valuable opportunity to test different approaches, gather intelligence on the opposition and prepare as effectively as possible for the official start of the new Brack Super League season.
