SECOND EDITION A SUCCESS FOR THE FC LUGANO GOLF TROPHY

September 20, 2025

Following the success of last year’s event, the FC Lugano Golf Trophy held its second edition on Friday, 19 September 2025, in the beautiful setting of the Golf Club Lugano in Magliaso. More than one hundred participants, including partners, sponsors, guests and Club employees, enjoyed a day dedicated to sport, sharing and solidarity.

The event opened in the morning with the golf tournament, continued into the afternoon and concluded with an aperitif on the terrace, in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. The entertaining “non golfers clinic” also gave less experienced participants the opportunity to try golf for the first time, guided by the professionalism of the golf club’s instructors.

The evening featured dinner and the awards ceremony, introduced by a welcome speech from the Bianconeri Vice President and CEO, Martin Blaser. As in the previous edition, the sporting awards ceremony was then led by Pietro Vicari, Vice Captain of the Golf Club Lugano.

The most eagerly awaited moment was the presentation of the prize, intended to support a social project connected to the local community. This year’s cheque, worth CHF 11,000, was donated to the Golf dei Castelli association, represented by its president Nicola Valerio, who symbolically accepted the contribution. Based in Bellinzona, the association promotes inclusion through golf, giving people with disabilities the opportunity to practise the sport and take part in training sessions and tournaments in a welcoming and educational environment. «Golf has an extraordinary inclusive power: it allows experts and beginners, people with and without disabilities, to play together on the same level», Valerio said during the presentation.

The FC Lugano Golf Trophy therefore once again confirmed itself as an event capable of combining sport, enjoyment and solidarity. Following the success of the first two editions, all those involved have already arranged to meet again in May 2026, when the third edition will take place.
