The world of gaming is set to feature in the programme of events leading up to the opening weekend of the AIL Arena. From Thursday 30 April, May Games – the EA FC 26 video game tournament organised by Grove Street – will kick off, with four qualifying evenings scheduled to take place at the Grancia store.
The first evening will take place on Thursday 30 April, from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, at the Grove Street store in Grancia (Via Cantonale, 6916 Grancia). Participation is free and open to all, subject to registration via the form dedicated to the evening of 30 April. Two players from the Bianconeri first team, Georgios Koutsias and Antonios Papadopoulos, will also be present at the event.
The tournament will follow a ‘winner stays on’ format: after each match, the winner remains in the competition and faces a new opponent, whilst the loser is eliminated. There will be a total of four qualifying rounds, taking place every Thursday from 30 April to 28 May (30 April, 7 May, 21 May and 28 May).
Each evening will produce a winner, who will advance as a semi-finalist to the final stage, scheduled for the AIL Arena’s opening weekend on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May. On that occasion, within the Fan Village – which is free and open to all – the finalists will compete for first place and the chance to win two tickets to a home match at the new Arena.
The May Games tournament thus forms part of the build-up to the AIL Arena’s opening weekend, bringing the world of gaming into the mix of initiatives accompanying the opening of Juventus’s new home.
