There are stories that come about almost by chance and, precisely because of this, become all the more wonderful to tell. The story of Len, a young fan from St. Gallen, is one such tale.
Until a few months ago, Len supported FC St. Gallen, the team of his city and his dad. Then, during the match between St. Gallen and Lugano, he had the chance to experience a special moment: walking onto the pitch as a ball boy alongside Anto Grgić. From that day on, something changed.
Adam immediately took a liking to the bianconeri midfielder. He started following his matches, talking about him constantly and asking his dad to take him to Cornaredo to see him live again. His wish came true on Saturday 10 May, during the Lugano v St. Gallen match, when Len was able to meet his idol again and give him another hug.
It was little Len’s father himself who recounted how this special bond came about: ‘He had the chance to walk onto the pitch with Anto in St. Gallen, during the match against Lugano, and he was truly captivated. He couldn’t stop talking about Anto. At that point, we got in touch with FC Lugano and received a lovely phone call from Andrea, who made today’s meeting possible. It was wonderful, unique, beautiful. Thank you so much.”
