The first round of the 2026/27 Swiss Cup between FC Lugano and Vedeggio Calcio will be played at the AIL Arena.
Following the positive decision by the ASF Central Committee, the venue for the match has been reversed. The fixture, originally scheduled to take place in Cadempino, will therefore be played at the Bianconeri’s new home ground.
This solution has been welcomed by both clubs and will allow fans to experience a match with the flavour of a city derby, between two sides separated by just a few kilometres and both closely linked to the Lugano area, in the special setting of the AIL Arena.
The match is scheduled for Sunday 16 August 2026 at 4.00 pm.
