F.C. Lugano SA announces that Andrea Antonelli is the new coach of FC Lugano Femminile. The 42-year-old Italian coach has signed a contract valid until the end of the current season (30.06.2026).
For Antonelli, who holds a UEFA A licence, this marks a return to Cornaredo: he coached the women's team in the 2020/21 season of the then AXA Women's Super League, helping them to avoid relegation. After his spell in Lugano, he spent three seasons in charge of AC Monza U17 Women (now Fiamma Monza Femminile U17). Last season and this season, he has managed Como Women U17.
Sebastian Pelzer, Chief Sports Officer of F.C. Lugano SA: "We are delighted to welcome Andrea. We are convinced that her experience, knowledge of the club and passion for working with young athletes will breathe new life into the women's team. We look to the future with confidence, convinced that the new coach will lead the team, with commitment and hard work, towards the goals set by the club."
FC Lugano enthusiastically welcomes Andrea Antonelli to the Bianconeri family and wishes him every success in black and white.
