During the AIL Arena’s opening weekend, the Self Tour was made accessible to people with hearing impairments thanks to a dedicated service in Italian Sign Language, organised with the support of the Frequenze LIS Association.
The guided tour in LIS could be requested at the time of registration and was organised across several slots between Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May. In total, 27 participants took part in the tour, divided into groups and accompanied by an interpreter as they visited the various areas of the new Juventus home: from the pitch to the changing rooms, via the mixed zone, the press room, the hospitality areas and the stands.
The initiative was part of a wider accessibility plan put in place for the Opening Weekend, designed to encourage everyone to take part and make a visit to the new Arena as inclusive an experience as possible. Alongside LIS interpreting, the Club has also provided dedicated access points and parking spaces for people with reduced mobility, as well as an RSI audio description service for people with visual impairments.
Through these initiatives, FC Lugano reaffirms its commitment to the path of inclusion embarked upon in recent years, with the aim of making the AIL Arena an increasingly open, accessible and community-focused home for the bianconeri.
