Directives
The club's "Head of Media & Corporate Relations" is in charge of planning and managing interviews of F.C. Lugano SA executives and employees.
The categories for which the Media & Corporate Relations Operations Section can be contacted are:
- Top management
- Sports Management
- First team members
- Academy members
Applications must be made by media outlets (TV, radio, print and web) or journalists registered with a professional trade association, Sportpress.ch, ATGS (Associazione Ticinese Giornalisti Sportivi) or the relevant association in their country of residence.
Electronic mail only
Interview requests should be submitted via e-mail only (media@fclugano.com). Requests made through other channels (WhatsApp or other) will not be considered.
Advance notice
In order to allow for better organization of interviews, requests should be made adequately in advance of the desired date, respecting the schedule of club officers and members.
Availability
In principle, taking into account the match schedule, the most suitable days for interviews are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the exception of weeks with midweek commitments.
Approval
Requests for interviews with First Team and Academy players are submitted to the Sports Management for approval. The club has the right to reject individual requests based on internal evaluations. It also reserves the right not to give positive feedback if these are not received in the correct timeframe and are not deemed in line with the above criteria.
Preview
The result of the interview must be sent in advance to the club for review and approval before publication, at least for the part concerning quotes from interviewees.
Press conference
In principle, the club organizes a press conference with the men's first team coach every Friday preceding a league round or on the eve of matches of a certain importance. Representatives of media outlets (TV, radio, print and web) or journalists registered with a professional trade association, Sportpress.ch, ATGS (Associazione Ticinese Giornalisti Sportivi) or the relevant association in their country of residence are invited to the press conferences.
Code of Conduct
- No interviews are allowed in any way without the club's permission or agreed upon directly with members. Making contact with the Head of Media & Corporate Relations is binding, no exceptions allowed.
- Visits to the club teams' training camp are not allowed, except with prior permission to be requested with two days' notice through the address media@fclugano.com. The training camp (Cornaredo and Cadro) is a place of business and is not open to the public or media representatives.
- Photographs or television footage are not permitted during practice unless prior permission is obtained with two days' notice through the media@fclugano.com.
