Logbook: Bianconero retreat in Marbella

FC Lugano is preparing to face the second part of the season with a special retreat in the beautiful setting of Marbella. From January 4 to 11, we will take you straight into the heart of the retreat, telling you day by day about the activities, trainings, curiosities and highlights of this week that promises to be intense and crucial for the preparation of our bianconeri.

DAY 7

Matchday ⚔️

Today at 12:00 noon we return to the field to face Cologne! Get better prepared for the game by finding out about our opponents.

Last day of training

After the match yesterday, our boys will face a double training session again today, always at the same times. An opportunity to work on physical condition and better prepare for tomorrow's friendly against Cologne.

First friendly

Our boys played their first match of 2025, against Sturm Graz. The match ended on the score of 2-1 for the Austrians, but some very good things were seen as also stated by Crus in the post match.

Preparation 🆚 Sturm Graz

Today the Bianconeri continued to work hard, to better prepare for the first game of 2025, tomorrow at 15h against Sturm Graz, current leader of the Austrian championship.

INSIDE FCL | A look behind the scenes 

A team is not just the 11 who take the field, and we know that very well. Our physical therapists do valuable work for the team. Thanks to their constant treatments and checkups, we are able to face the season full of games in an optimal way, preserving the physical condition of our players as best as possible. 

DAY 2

Double session for the bianconeri

Today was a day of intensity for our boys, who had a double training session in the Marbella retreat.

The first, high-intensity session ended just before noon, with exercises aimed at boosting physical condition and perfecting tactical movements.

At 4 p.m., the Bianconeri returned to the field for the second session of the day, another key moment to put gasoline in the legs and refine the details ahead of upcoming engagements.

After much hard work and sweat, the boys competed in a shooting contest, displaying their ballistic skills and putting our goalkeepers to the test!

DEPARTURE FOR MARBELLA

The team left this morning for Marbella, leaving the cold Ticino weather for the sunny Andalusian coast.

FIRST TRAINING

After arriving in Spain, the players immediately settled into their rooms and then underwent a light recovery session, useful for loosening up their muscles after the trip.
