After the 2024 success, the FC Lugano Golf Trophy experienced its second edition on Friday, September 19, 2025 in the beautiful setting of the Lugano Golf Club in Magliaso. Over one hundred participants including partners, sponsors, guests and employees of the Club experienced a day of sports, sharing and solidarity.
The event opened in the morning with the golf competition, continued in the middle hours of the afternoon and concluded by the aperitif on the terrace, in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. There was no shortage of fun "non-golfers clinic" that allowed even the less experienced to try their hand at golf for the first time, guided by the professionalism of the golf club's instructors.
The evening was enlivened by dinner and the awards ceremony, introduced by a welcome speech by HCL Vice President and CEO Martin Blaser. Then, as in the past edition, the award ceremony of the sports competition was conducted by Golf Club Lugano vice-captain Pietro Vicari.
The most awaited moment was the presentation of the award, intended to support a social project related to the area. This year the check, amounting to 11,000 francs, was donated to the Castelli Golf Association, represented by President Nicola Valerio, who symbolically collected the contribution. The association, based in Bellinzona, works to promote inclusion through golf, offering people with disabilities the opportunity to try their hand at the discipline, participating in training and tournaments in a welcoming and educational setting. "Golf has an extraordinary inclusive force: it makes experts and beginners, people with and without disabilities, play together on the same level," Valerio recounted at the handover.
The FC Lugano Golf Trophy thus confirms itself as an event capable of combining sports, fun and solidarity. Given the success of the first two editions, the protagonists involved have already made an appointment for May 2026, when the third edition will be staged.
