SI E' SPENTO RENZO BARBIERATO

Mourning in the great HCL family. On Monday, Lorenzo Barbierato, masseur of the first team of FC Lugano in the mid-1990s, died. Renzo, as he was called by everyone, was 81 years old and lived in the province of Varese. He took care of the muscles of the HCL players when the team was coached first by Morinini, then by Engel and later by Duvillard. Always smiling under typical affectations, he wore short socks even in winter. He was masseur of the team that eliminated Inter from the Uefa Cup in 1995. The photo in which he appears behind Edo Carrasco after the goal he scored at San Siro is legendary. Renzo Barbierato's funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at 2:30 p.m. in the parish church of Casale in Casalzuigno. FC Lugano's condolences are extended to his family members.
