Tickets for the Vedeggio Calcio v FC Lugano match, a first-round fixture in the 2026/27 Swiss Cup, are now on general sale.
The match, scheduled for Sunday 16 August at 4.00 pm, will take place at the AIL Arena. The draw had designated Vedeggio Calcio as the home side, in accordance with Swiss Cup tradition for lower-division clubs. However, following a change of venue requested by mutual agreement between the two clubs and approved by the ASF, the match will now be played at the bianconero Arena, with Lugano formally the away side.
A CELEBRATION FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
It will be a special occasion for local football. On one side, FC Lugano; on the other, Vedeggio Calcio, an amateur Ticino-based club based in Cadempino, a municipality in the Lugano area: two clubs separated by just a few kilometres, set to face off in a Cup tie with a distinct local flavour.
A day designed to celebrate football in the Lugano area and across the canton, highlighting the bond between the Club, the local area and the organisations that contribute daily to the growth of football in Ticino.
For the occasion, the Partner Clubs – the Ticino amateur clubs that have joined the project promoted by FC Lugano – will also be present in the stands. The Club invites representatives of the Partner Clubs to attend the AIL Arena wearing their respective clubs’ shirts, so as to highlight the presence and value of the various local organisations.

A pre-match Meet & Greet with some of the bianconeri players is also planned at the Official Store on matchday. After the match, the bianconeri team will take a lap of honour to greet the fans at the AIL Arena and symbolically celebrate this day dedicated to Ticino football.
