FC Lugano is pleased to announce a new partnership with Uber, which becomes the Club’s official Mobility Partner. The agreement will provide supporters with dedicated benefits for travelling to and from the AIL Arena on matchdays, offering an additional mobility option in an area with limited parking availability and ongoing construction works nearby.
250 VOUCHERS FOR EVERY MATCH
For each Bianconeri home match at the AIL Arena, Uber will make 250 vouchers available, offering discounts on rides.
Details and instructions on how to use the vouchers will be communicated by FC Lugano to its supporters via newsletter ahead of each home match.

DEDICATED PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF POINT ON VIA CIANI
On matchdays, a dedicated pick-up and drop-off point will also be available on Via Ciani, next to the AIL Arena. Passengers will therefore be able to arrive and depart in the immediate vicinity of the stadium, helping to ensure a smoother flow of traffic before and after matches.
«We are proud to welcome Uber as one of our partners. At a time when the Cornaredo area continues to face limited parking availability and ongoing construction, this partnership enables us to offer supporters an additional mobility option and help improve travel across the city on matchdays, easing at least some of the well-known and long-standing logistical challenges affecting the district. Welcoming an international partner of this standing also underlines the growing appeal of both the Club and the AIL Arena», said Martin Blaser, Vice President and CEO of FC Lugano.
«We are delighted to support FC Lugano as a mobility partner and to make travel to and from the AIL Arena as simple, efficient and flexible as possible for supporters. We look forward to making, through this partnership, a concrete contribution to innovative and connected mobility for Ticinese football", said Jean-Pascal Aribot, General Manager for Uber Switzerland».
A CLUB ON THE RISE
The partnership comes at a time of significant growth for FC Lugano. In recent years, the Club has consolidated its position at the highest level of Swiss football, winning the Swiss Cup in 2022 and securing a fifth consecutive qualification for UEFA club competitions at the end of the 2025/26 season. The 2026/27 season then opened a new chapter with the AIL Arena, the Bianconeri’s state-of-the-art new home.
Officially handed over to the City of Lugano in March 2026, the AIL Arena is a technologically advanced stadium featuring 8,793 covered seats and designed to host both domestic and international matches.
A GLOBAL PLATFORM
Since 2010, Uber's mission is to create opportunity through movement. It started to solve a simple problem: how do you get access to a ride at the touch of a button? More than 72 billion trips later, the platform is building products to get people closer to where they want to be. By changing how people, food, and things move through cities, Uber opens up the world to new possibilities.
Uber has been operating in Switzerland since 2013, progressively expanding its presence across the whole country. Its services have been available in Lugano since 2024.
In September 2025, Uber expanded its local offering with the launch of Uber Mountain Bike, developed in partnership with the Lugano Region. The service allows users to book a vehicle equipped with a bike rack directly through the app, making it easier to travel from the city to the region’s trails and main mountain biking destinations.
