Through the “The Road to Lugano” project, FC Lugano and the Amateur League of the Swiss Football Association are honouring the fairest teams in the Women’s First League and the Men’s Interregional Second League.
The first winners of the respective Fair Play rankings have been announced: FC Sempach for the Women’s First League and FC Schaffhausen 2 for the Men’s Interregional Second League. The two teams recorded the lowest penalty coefficient in their respective categories and have therefore been awarded a weekend in Lugano during the 2026/27 season, courtesy of FC Lugano in collaboration with its strategic partner, Lugano Region.
The Club congratulates FC Sempach and FC Schaffhausen 2 and looks forward to welcoming both teams to the Sottoceneri region. At the same time, FC Lugano would like to thank all the other teams involved for the spirit of fair play they have demonstrated throughout the season.
DISCOUNTS AT THE AIL ARENA
The initiative is not limited to the two winning teams. Depending on their final position in the Fair Play table, all teams belonging to clubs in the Women’s First League and the Men’s Second Interregional League will be eligible for progressive discounts when attending an FC Lugano home match as a group in the 2026/27 Brack Super League at the new AIL Arena.
Teams ranked in the top third of the Fair Play table will receive a 75% discount on the ticket price. Those in the middle third and bottom third will receive a 50% and 25% discount respectively.
Through ‘The Road to Lugano’, FC Lugano aims to recognise the good conduct and sporting spirit of the clubs, encouraging fair play and offering as many teams as possible from the Amateur League the opportunity to experience the bianconeri atmosphere at the AIL Arena first-hand.
