FC Lugano will make the most of the international break to play a high-profile friendly at the AIL Arena. On Friday 2 October at 11.30, the bianconeri will face Hellas Verona FC.
The Gialloblù are a top-class opponent with a rich tradition in Italian football. Italian champions in the 1984/85 season, Verona spent seven consecutive seasons in Serie A before being relegated to Serie B at the end of last season.
This friendly will therefore provide Mattia Croci-Torti’s side with a useful opportunity to maintain their match fitness during the international break and prepare for their return to competitive action. On Saturday 10 October, Lugano will be back in action at the AIL Arena against Luzern for Matchday 10 of the Brack Super League.
The friendly against Hellas Verona will be played behind closed doors, with no public access. The match will be streamed live on FC Lugano’s official YouTube channel.
