Bright sunshine, enthusiasm and plenty of curiosity characterised FC Lugano’s first appearance at Sportissima, the cantonal sports day held on Sunday 14 September at the Lido in Lugano.
GAME AND FUN
The bianconero stand welcomed numerous young girls, many of whom were experiencing football for the first time. In a festive atmosphere, the coaches from the Women’s Academy organised simple, playful activities: ball drills, shooting challenges into small goals and accuracy tests involving obstacles.
ENTHUSIASM AND INTEREST
The young participants had a great time trying their hand at the games on offer, whilst parents appreciated the chance to find out more about the Club’s women’s section. There was no shortage of new enquiries from families interested in enrolling their daughters in the U10F, U12F and U13F teams.
AN IMPORTANT STEP
The appearance at Sportissima represented a significant opportunity for FC Lugano Women. The initiative raised the profile of the bianconeri side and confirmed the Club’s commitment to investing tangibly in the future of women’s sport in Ticino.
