The FC Lugano Golf Trophy took place on Friday 8 May 2026 at the Golf Club Lugano in Magliaso, once again proving itself to be an event that successfully combines sport, community involvement and charity.
The day involved a total of 80 participants, including partners, sponsors, guests and people associated with the Club. The competition kicked off at 12:00 and took place over the 18 holes of the Golf Club Lugano, with participants divided into two categories.
Following the welcome at the Club House and the morning warm-up, the tournament brought the course to life throughout the afternoon, before the first players returned and the aperitif was served. The day then concluded with dinner and the awards ceremony, during which the sporting honours listed in the programme were presented.
The most significant moment, however, was linked to the charitable purpose of the event. Once again this year, the proceeds from the FC Lugano Golf Trophy were donated to a local social project: the cheque, for CHF 11,000, was presented to the Golf dei Castelli association. Based in Bellinzona and previously supported during the second edition, the organisation promotes inclusion through golf, offering people with disabilities the opportunity to take up the sport and participate in training sessions and tournaments in an educational and inclusive environment.
The FC Lugano Golf Trophy has thus concluded its third edition, reaffirming its charitable purpose. The Club would like to thank the Golf Club Lugano in Magliaso, the participants, and all those who contributed to the success of the event and to the donation made to Golf dei Castelli.
