FC Lugano is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Michele Salzarulo until the end of the current season; he will join the first-team coaching staff as an assistant coach.
The 41-year-old from Milan will bring to Mattia Croci-Torti’s disposal the knowledge and technical expertise gained throughout a career marked by significant experience and prestigious collaborations. During his 13 years at Inter (2007–2020), he helped establish the Nerazzurri’s Football Analysis Department and worked with managers of the calibre of Roberto Mancini, José Mourinho, Gian Piero Gasperini, Luciano Spalletti, Stefano Pioli and Antonio Conte. He subsequently worked at Hellas Verona with current Atalanta manager Ivan Juric and alongside the aforementioned José Mourinho at AS Roma and Fenerbahçe, before returning to the Giallorossi last season under Claudio Ranieri.
F.C. Lugano warmly welcomes Michele into the bianconero family. We are confident he will bring the desired dynamism to his new professional role, and the club wishes him every success in his time with the bianconero team.
