FC Lugano is pleased to announce the dates for the pre-season preparations for the 2026/27 Brack Super League season, which kicks off on the weekend of 25–26 July 2026.
On Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 June 2026, the bianconeri will gather to undergo the usual pre-season medical and fitness tests. The first training session is scheduled for the following morning, Thursday 18 June, in Caslano. As part of the renewed and fruitful partnership with FC Malcantone, Mattia Croci-Torti’s squad will train at the ‘Roque Maspoli’ Sports Centre until Friday 3 July.
TWO FRIENDLY MATCHES IN GERMANY
After two summers without a training camp, FC Lugano will return to holding a summer training camp. The team will train from Sunday 5 to Saturday 11 July in Germany, in Weiler-Simmerberg, just across the Swiss border.
During the training camp week, the bianconeri will play two friendlies, with opponents yet to be confirmed.
THREE FRIENDLY MATCHES IN THE REGION
During the summer pre-season, the bianconeri will also play three friendlies in Ticino, designed to bring the team closer to fans and supporters across the canton’s various regions.
The first fixture is scheduled for Saturday 27 June in Giubiasco, where at 15:00 Renato Steffen and his teammates will face Neuchâtel Xamax FC, a team from the Challenge League. On Saturday 4 July, at 11:00, the second fixture will see the bianconeri travel to Losone for a match against FC Rapperswil-Jona, a club from the Hoval Promotion League.
The third and final fixture will be the ‘historic’ match in Balerna: on Friday 17 July at 8.15 pm, the opponents will be FC Vaduz, newly promoted to the Brack Super League.
The official season kicks off on Thursday 23 July 2026 with the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. The opponent will be revealed at the draw on 17 June.
