On Saturday 27 September, to mark the match against Grasshopper Club Zürich at Cornaredo (kick-off at 6.00 pm), the eighth edition of the #greenmatch will take place – a charity event that has become a well-established tradition for FC Lugano over the years.
For this special occasion, the bianconeri will wear a limited-edition home shirt: the classic black shirt will feature green inserts in place of the white ones on the sleeves and collar, and the iconic ‘V’ on the chest will also be in green.
The shirts worn on the pitch will be put up for auction from the kick-off of the match (6.00 pm). This year, the auction will take place directly on the MatchWornShirt platform, the Club’s official partner for auctions of match-worn shirts. All proceeds will go towards supporting the Greenhope Foundation.

The foundation will also have a dedicated stand in the courtyard of the Cornaredo stadium, where visitors can find out more about its initiatives and support the cause.
The team led by Mattia Croci-Torti will aim to make the #greenmatch a complete celebration, seeking to beat Grasshopper and secure three valuable points with the support of the Cornaredo crowd.
Greenhope is a Swiss organisation that has been working with FC Lugano for some time and, for over ten years, has been bringing moments of joy to children with cancer and their families, whilst also supporting young Swiss sporting talent.
