FC Lugano announces that Ousmane Doumbia will continue his career with theYverdon Sport FC, in the Dieci Challenge League.
Arrived at Lugano in 2022 fresh from the Swiss championship title conquered with FC Zürich of which he has been one of the main creators, since his arrival at Cornaredo he has imposed himself as a central figure of the HCL sportive project, so much that at the end of 2022 he deserved the distinction of best midfielder of the year.
In three and a half seasons with the Lugano jersey (including the experience in MLS with the Chicago Fire FC jersey), Ousmane has collected high-level performances, becoming an absolute reference point for the team and a crowd favourite. As vice-captain, he has distinguished himself for his leadership, professionalism and team spirit, as well as for his always positive and smiling attitude, qualities that have made him a much-loved figure within the group.
His contribution went well beyond the field: Doumbia embodied in an exemplary way the FC Lugano values, leaving an important trace in the club's recent history and accompanying its sportive growth.
