Following the postponement due to June’s heatwave, the third and final qualifying round of the FC Lugano Golf Tour driven by Lugano Region took place on Saturday 8 August at the Migros Golfpark Otelfingen.
The event was fully booked, with 101 participants teeing off compared to 60 at last year’s event at the same Golfpark. Despite the sun and the heat, the players enjoyed a day of sport and camaraderie, bringing the 2026 Tour’s qualifying rounds to a close.
LAST THREE PLACES FOR THE FINAL
The final three places available for the Grand Final of the FC Lugano Golf Tour driven by Lugano Region, scheduled for 31 October at the Golf Club Lugano, were awarded at the Otelfingen course.
With the final stage in Otelfingen, the 2026 tour has reached a total of 300 participants across the three qualifying rounds held at the Migros Golfparks in Holzhäusern, Oberkirch and Otelfingen. This result confirms the project’s growth, with an increase of around 25 per cent compared to last year’s edition.
The FC Lugano Golf Tour driven by Lugano Region thus concludes its qualifying phase and now looks ahead to the final event in Ticino, where the top players from the three stages will gather to compete for victory in the Grand Final.
