Following some speculations about the summons to the "FIFA Arab Cup" appeared on social channels in Tunisia, FC Lugano is forced to point out that it has not received any official summons for its player Mohamed Mahmoud Belhadj.
FC Lugano strictly follows the FIFA rules that regulate the relationship between the clubs and the National teams: the club will therefore enter into the matter of a possible call up of its player only once it has received an official call up from the Tunisian federation.
In respect of the aforementioned FIFA provisions concerning national selections, FC Lugano underlines that the "FIFA Arab Cup" is not included in an official FIFA international window. It follows that the club is not obliged to release its players.
FC Lugano reiterates that, in full respect of the international regulations, it will react only in front of official convocations that at the moment have not been received.
