FC Lugano is delighted to announce the signing of German goalkeeper Felix Karl-Ernst Gebhardt, born in 2002, from SSV Jahn Regensburg (German 3. Liga). He has signed a three-year contract (valid until 30 June 2029).
Born in Lörrach, Gebhardt developed his footballing skills at FC Basel, where he trained under Germano Vailati with the Rossoblù’s U19 and U21 teams. In the 2022/23 season, he was loaned to Hallescher FC (German 3. Liga), where he established himself as a regular: he played 36 matches and kept 10 clean sheets. At the end of the season, he moved permanently to SSV Jahn Regensburg on a three-year contract. He immediately established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper and played a key role in the club’s return to the 2. Bundesliga.
Gebhardt has been part of the German youth national teams, boasting a total of 10 appearances for Germany’s U16, U17, U18 and U20 sides.
Sebastian Pelzer, Chief Sports Officer at FC Lugano: “With Gebhardt’s arrival, we are adding a goalkeeper to our squad who possesses significant experience gained in professional football. Over the last few seasons, he has proven his worth by playing regularly as a first-choice goalkeeper in Germany, competing in a challenging environment that has allowed him to develop his technical skills and character. He knows Swiss football very well, which will make it easier for him to settle into our environment.
We are delighted to welcome him to FC Lugano and are confident he will make a positive contribution to the club’s objectives.”
FC Lugano extends a warm welcome to Felix and wishes him all the best in the bianconero shirt.
