Due to the ongoing heatwave, which is also forecast to continue over the coming days, the kick-off time for the first leg of FC Lugano On Tour has been changed. The friendly match against Neuchâtel Xamax FC, scheduled for Saturday 27 June at the Giubiasco Municipal Stadium and originally set for 3.00 pm, has been brought forward to 10.30 am.
The match will kick off FC Lugano On Tour, a series of events across the canton that will accompany the bianconeri’s pre-season preparations and facilitate interaction with local fans and clubs.
The match will be streamed live for free on the Club’s official YouTube channel.
A DAY FOR THE FANS
The first stop on the FC Lugano On Tour will also give fans the chance to meet the team and coaching staff up close. After the match, from 13:00, there will be a Meet & Greet with the players and the manager.
Throughout the day, there will also be a food and drink stand and a merchandise corner, where you can buy official Bianconeri merchandise.
THE LINK WITH U.S. GIUBIASCO
The event in Giubiasco takes on particular significance, especially in light of the Ticino Partnership, the project under which, from 1 July 2026, FC Lugano will take over the management of the canton’s elite football, with U.S. Giubiasco acting as label partner for the Sopraceneri region.
The day will therefore also be an opportunity to strengthen ties with a club deeply rooted in the local community and to share the start of a shared journey with fans, families and clubs across the region.
After Giubiasco, FC Lugano on Tour will continue on Saturday 4 July in Losone, with a friendly against FC Rapperswil-Jona, and on Friday 17 July in Balerna, in a match against FC Vaduz, the final friendly before the season’s official opener in the UEFA Conference League Q2 against KF Dukagjini.
UEFA Conference League Q2 RETURN LEG: DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED AFTER 17 JULY
FC Lugano announces that the date of the UEFA Conference League Q2 second leg between KF Dukagjini and FC Lugano will only be announced after 17 July 2026 (the first leg takes place on Thursday 23 July 2026 at 8.30 pm at the AIL Arena).
The scheduling of the second leg is dependent on whether the Kosovar side KF Ballkani progress from the Q1 round, as this will determine the availability of the stadium in Kosovo. For this reason, there are currently two possible dates: Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 July.
Further information will be provided as soon as the venue and date are officially confirmed.
