FC Lugano will face Vedeggio Calcio in the first round of the 2026/27 Swiss Cup.
The draw, held today at the ASF headquarters, has pitted the bianconeri against the Cadempino-based side from the Lugano district in an all-Ticino clash.
Vedeggio Calcio play in the FTC 2nd League and qualified for the Swiss Cup by winning the 2025/26 Ticino Cup.
As stipulated in the regulations, teams from lower divisions play their Cup matches at home up to and including the semi-finals. The match will therefore take place at the Campo comunale Cadempino over the weekend of Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August 2026.
The official fixture list, including the date and kick-off time, will be finalised by mid-July. All matches involving Super League teams will be broadcast live on SSR channels.
WOMEN’S SWISS CUP: DRAW AGAINST GÄU SELECTION
As for the Women’s Swiss Cup, the first-round draw has handed FC Lugano Women an away fixture against FC Härkingen Gäu Selection, a Second League side. The match will be played over the weekend of 22 and 23 August 2026.
