After the victory at St. Jakob-Park against Basel, the championship takes its third break of the season. The international break, scheduled from 10 to 18 November, will allow the Bianconeri to recharge their batteries while several players are busy with their respective national teams.
Six FC Lugano players will answer the call of their respective national teams: four from the first team and two from the Bianconeri U21s.
AMIR SAIPI – KOSOVO
The Bianconeri goalkeeper is once again among those called up by the Kosovo national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Two matches are scheduled: Friday 14 November in Slovenia and Tuesday 18 November at home against Switzerland.
MOHAMED BELHADJ – TUNISIA
Mohamed Belhadj has been called up once again and is set to play in three international fixtures with the Tunisian national team:
- 12 November against Mauritania (World Cup Qualifiers)
- 14 November against Jordan (friendly)
- 18 November against Brazil (prestigious friendly in Tunis, 8:30 p.m.).
GEORGIOS KOUTSIAS – GREECE U21
The Bianconeri striker has been called up to the Under-21s for the European qualifiers.
Greece will face Georgia U21 on Friday 14 November and Northern Ireland U21 on Tuesday 18 November.
DUVILLE-PARSEMAIN – MARTINIQUE
The Bianconeri defender will travel to the Caribbean, having been called up by Martinique for two CONCACAF Nations League matches: on Saturday 15 November against Cuba and on Tuesday 18 November against the Dominican Republic.
YOUNG BIANCONERI
LENDRIT SHALA – KOSOVO U21
The centre-back will take part in the U21 European Championship qualifiers with Kosovo.
The scheduled matches are on Friday 14 November against Cyprus and Tuesday 18 November in Finland.
YURI PEVERELLI – SWITZERLAND U19
The youngster, born in 2007, has been called up again to the U19 national team, which is taking part in a friendly tournament in Spain.
Three matches are scheduled at the ESP Stadium in Lloret de Mar:
