FC Lugano announces the signing of Chiara Manca, an Italian forward born in 2001, who joins the women’s first-team squad.
Born in Rome on 28 April 2001, Manca came through the youth ranks at AS Roma, where she played up to U-19 level. With the Giallorosse, she won the Primavera Championship in 2020, finishing the season as the top scorer.
She subsequently continued her career with Res Roma, Pomigliano Calcio and Chievo Women, gaining experience in both Serie A and Serie B. She made her debut in the top flight of Italian football with Pomigliano, before moving to Switzerland.
In the summer of 2024, she joined FC Aarau Frauen, playing in the Women’s Super League and gaining first-hand experience of Swiss football. In the 2024/25 season, she made 12 league appearances and scored two goals.
After returning to Italy to play for Vis Mediterranea, she spent last season with Salernitana.
A versatile forward, Manca can play both centrally and on the wings, bringing experience, technical ability and a valuable understanding of top-flight Swiss football to the bianconero side.
