FC Lugano is pleased to announce the key dates for the pre-season preparations for the 2025/26 Brack Super League season, which kicks off on the weekend of 26–27 July 2025. On Monday 23 June 2025, the bianconeri will undergo medical tests at Ars Medica; the following day, physical tests will take place at Cornaredo, where the first training session is scheduled. As was the case last year, thanks to the renewed fruitful partnership with FC Malcantone, Mattia Croci-Torti’s bianconeri will hold a ‘training camp’ at the ‘Roque Maspoli’ Sports Centre in Caslano, where they will train from Wednesday 25 June to Saturday 5 July 2025.
FC Lugano On Tour
The excellent outcome of the initiative launched last season has also prompted the club to relaunch “FC Lugano On Tour”, an initiative through which the club aims to strengthen its ties with the local area and lay the foundations for greater involvement of all the regions that make up our canton. The idea behind “FC Lugano On Tour” is to “take” the black-and-white colours beyond the Lugano region, allowing Ticino fans and supporters to see the bianconeri in action up close and spend some time with players and staff during friendly meet-and-greets following the away training sessions. Once again this year, three regional football clubs are involved, representing three different areas of Ticino: AC Vallemaggia, FC Aquila and AS Basso Ceresio. It will therefore be on the pitches in Maggia, Torre and Melano that Mattia Croci-Torti’s team will hold their ‘away’ training sessions, before making themselves available to anyone who fancies popping along to the ground to see their heroes up close, get an autograph or two, snap a few photos and buy official Bianconeri merchandise. Access to the pitches hosting FC Lugano is, of course, open to everyone.
Three friendly matches
As for the friendly matches, the series will kick off on Saturday 5 July 2025 with FC Lugano v FC Rapperswil/Jona, which will effectively bring the training camp at the “Roque Maspoli” in Caslano to a close. On Friday 11 July at 14:00 in Balerna, the bianconeri will face Mauro Lustrinelli’s FC Thun, newly promoted to the Brack Super League. A third friendly is then scheduled for Saturday 19 July 2025 in Cornaredo, with the opponent yet to be confirmed. This will be the final test before the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Q2 (Thursday 24 July 2025) and the start of the 2025/26 league season (Sunday 27 July 2025).
