FC Lugano is delighted to announce the signing of Beckham David Castro Espinosa, a Colombian attacking winger born in 2003. A left-footed, pacy and technically gifted player, he has signed a three-year contract (until 30 June 2029).
Born in Cartagena de Indias on 12 September 2003, Castro came through the youth ranks at Millonarios FC, one of Colombia’s leading clubs. He made his professional debut in March 2023 and, during the same season, began to carve out a place for himself in the first team, scoring his first goal. He was also part of the squad that won the Colombian title in the 2023 Apertura Tournament.
In 2024, he went out on a one-year loan to CD La Equidad, a team in the Colombian top flight, with the aim of gaining playing time, experience and consistency. Upon his return to Millonarios, he continued his development, once again carving out a place for himself in the team’s attack and recording 13 goals and 5 assists between 2025 and 2026. At international level, he has also gained experience in the major South American competitions, featuring in both the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana.
