Third working day in the Benidorm's retreat for the FC Lugano, engaged today in the first of the two prestigious friendly tests included in the programme of the week that the Bianconeri spend in Spain to better prepare the resumption of the championship.
As a sign of mourning and participation to the sorrow of the families hit by the Crans-Montana tragedy of the New Year's Eve, the society decided that the HCL players will take the field wearing a black armband. The game will be opened by a minute of meditation in memory of the victims.
With this gesture, the FC Lugano intends to express its deep condolences and its closeness to all the persons involved in this tragic event.
A PRESTIGIOUS ADVERSARY
In front of the Bianconeri there will be the 1. FC Köln, historical German football club, currently placed in the middle of the Bundesliga classification. The Rhineland club, which boasts three national titles and four German Cups in its palmarès, represents a high-level test on the road to the official resumption of the Brack Super League.
The two teams already know each other: in January of last year, during the winter retreat at Marbella, Lugano and Köln had in fact faced each other in a spectacular friendly match, ended with a draw for 3-3, that had highlighted the technical value and the intensity of this international cross.
