FC Lugano is delighted to announce the signing of Daniel Leo, a right-back and full-back born in 2001 and a true Lugano local, who joins Andrea Vitali’s U21 squad with the aim of putting his experience to good use for the team.
Leo returns to Lugano following a significant career, which has included spells with Juventus Next Gen and at prominent Serie C clubs such as Crotone and Perugia – challenging environments in which he has consistently made his mark and contributed to the team. He has now chosen this new opportunity with the desire to relaunch his career in a different league, to make his mark and, above all, to share the experience he has gained throughout his career with his younger teammates.
A player blessed with great athletic ability and skilful at set-pieces, Leo combines pace, intensity and personality – qualities that enable him to play both as a right-back and as a wide midfielder.
